Heart of Worcestershire College (HoW) is set to open its doors for the first major event of 2025, offering prospective students the opportunity to explore its campuses and discover the wide range of courses available. The event will take place on Wednesday, 29th January, from 5pm to 8pm, across HoW’s four campuses in Bromsgrove, Redditch, Worcester, and Malvern.

The Open Event will give attendees the chance to meet with staff, tour the facilities, and learn more about the variety of courses on offer, from vocational training to academic qualifications. Prospective students will also have the opportunity to speak directly with tutors, who will be available to answer questions and offer guidance on selecting the best course for individual career goals. In addition, attendees can submit applications during the event.

Each of the four campuses offers unique opportunities tailored to different industries and career paths. The Worcester campus, spread across multiple buildings, is home to courses in Performing Arts, Hair & Beauty, Computing & IT, Healthcare Science, Hospitality & Catering, and Engineering. The campus also features dedicated centres for Plumbing, Automotive, and Construction training at the Duckworth Centre of Engineering.

The Bromsgrove campus is known for its vocational approach, with a broad range of courses available, including Art & Design, Media Production, Automotive, Computing & IT, Apprenticeships, and Games Design. The campus places a strong emphasis on preparing students for practical, hands-on careers.

Redditch campus, located on Peakman Street, offers a diverse range of subjects, including Healthcare Science, Public Services, Hospitality & Catering, Hair & Beauty, Business, and Sports, along with specialized programs in Travel & Tourism. The campus also supports adult learners through Access to Higher Education and Inclusive Learning programs. The Alliance House site focuses specifically on Construction training.

The Malvern campus is particularly well-regarded for its construction-focused courses, offering practical, industry-relevant training in areas such as Brickwork, Carpentry, and Painting and Decorating. This campus is ideal for students looking to build skills in the construction industry.

Michelle Dowse, Principal and Chief Executive Officer at HoW College, commented on the upcoming event: “Attending our Open Event is an excellent way for prospective students to discover the full range of opportunities available at HoW College. Our priority is to help each student identify the right path for their ambitions while providing the practical skills needed to succeed in the workplace. With so many courses to choose from, we’re sure that everyone can find a subject that suits their interests at one of our four campuses.”

The Open Event is expected to attract a large number of prospective students eager to take the next step in their educational journey. HoW College offers a variety of pathways to further education, apprenticeships, and employment, with a focus on ensuring students are equipped with the skills and qualifications needed for success in their chosen fields.
