Moody Logistics and Storage, alongside its sister companies MCR Services and Heathline Commercials, has held its annual awards ceremony, recognising the outstanding contributions of its employees. The event, hosted at the company’s headquarters in Bolam Business Park, Cramlington, celebrated the achievements of staff who embody the organisation’s values of teamwork, commitment, and excellence.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Employee of the Year award to Financial Controller Martin Mitchinson. Martin, from North Tyneside, was commended for his significant contributions to the growth and development of all three businesses within the group. Over the past year, he has taken a proactive approach to enhancing the companies’ growth potential, earning the admiration and respect of his colleagues.
Another notable accolade went to Driver of the Year, awarded to Micky Crackett of Blyth. Recognised for his commitment to safe driving and outstanding performance, Micky was also praised for his positive attitude and engaging personality, which have made him a favourite among colleagues and customers.
The Long Service Award was presented to Paul Johnson, from Washington, who celebrated 10 years with the business. Initially joining on a short-term health and safety project, Paul transitioned into a permanent role within the operations team and now serves as Operations and Compliance Manager. His efforts have been pivotal in helping Moody Logistics achieve and maintain its Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) accreditation, which highlights exemplary standards in safety, efficiency, and environmental practices.
Additionally, 14 employees were recognised for achieving 100% attendance over the past 12 months, further demonstrating the dedication of the workforce.
Managing Director Caroline Moody praised the team’s collective efforts during the event. “Our annual awards are a fantastic opportunity to recognise and celebrate the incredible contributions of our team, who are the backbone of our success,” she said.
