A striking mural celebrating the England Women’s Rugby team has been unveiled at Twickenham’s iconic rugby pub, The Cabbage Patch, ahead of the 2025 Guinness Women’s Six Nations. The venue, a long-standing favourite among rugby fans, has also been rebranded as ‘The Red Roses Patch’ for the duration of the tournament.

The artwork, created by British street artists MurWalls, features England captain Zoe Aldcroft alongside vice-captains Marlie Packer and Meg Jones. The mural pays tribute to their leadership and impact on the sport as the Red Roses prepare to defend their Six Nations title and gear up for the Women’s Rugby World Cup later this year, which will be hosted in England.

Speaking about the mural, Aldcroft said: “It’s an incredible feeling to see this mural celebrating the Red Roses. This is a huge year for us, and the support from fans means everything as we push for Six Nations and World Cup success.”

“This mural is more than just an artwork – it’s a symbol of how far women’s rugby has come. To see myself, Marlie, and Meg up there in Twickenham, at a venue so central to rugby fan culture, is an incredible feeling. I hope every young girl and boy who walks past it knows that they can be part of this journey too. The Red Roses are ready to make history, and we can’t wait to have the fans behind us every step of the way.”

The transformation of The Cabbage Patch into ‘The Red Roses Patch’ has made it a dedicated hub for fans during the tournament. Alongside screening all matches, the venue will host exclusive player appearances and sensory-friendly screenings to ensure an inclusive experience for all supporters. Inside, a collection of Red Roses memorabilia, including items from rugby legends such as Gill Burns and Katy Daley-Mclean, celebrates the team’s history.

Stuart Green, General Manager of The Cabbage Patch, said: “I’m so excited to celebrate the Guinness Women’s Six Nations with a new look for the pub, renamed as The Red Roses Patch for the duration of the tournament, and the mural on the outside of the pub – celebrating three fantastic players. It’s great to see the Guinness Women’s Six Nations build momentum and as the most famous rugby pub in the world, it’s only right that we’re at the heart of it. The Red Roses Patch will be the best pub to catch all the action and cheer on the Red Roses.”

Adding to the excitement of the tournament, fans attending England’s fixture against France at Twickenham’s Allianz Stadium on 26 April will be treated to a half-time performance by Rizzle Kicks. The chart-topping duo’s appearance coincides with the release of their latest album, Competition Is For Losers, and their sold-out UK tour.

With the Women’s Six Nations and the upcoming Rugby World Cup, 2025 is set to be a landmark year for women’s rugby. Fans can book a space at The Red Roses Patch to watch the tournament live in Twickenham or secure final tickets for England’s Six Nations match against France.
