10 Magazine has framed its 77th issue around three words (Future, Legacy, Heritage) and the editorial language inside reflects that ambition. The collections of the season are, according to the magazine, captured in what it calls the most glorious light, which, given the shoot’s location at Villa Meraki on Zakynthos, Greece, is not entirely hyperbolic. There is something about Aegean light that flatters a strong shoulder line and a clean trouser break in ways that a studio simply cannot replicate.
Neophitou’s styling across the issue pulls from the full breadth of the season’s offerings. The house credits read like a considered survey of contemporary European dressing: Dior, Prada, Ralph Lauren, Burberry, Hermès, Chanel, Givenchy by Sarah Burton, Loewe, Max Mara, McQueen, Gucci, Tom Ford, Giorgio Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Miu Miu, and Bottega Veneta. That is not a list assembled for spectacle. Neophitou is a fashion editor who understands weight and proportion, and the groupings here, blazer and trouser pairings from Givenchy by Sarah Burton, coat and trouser combinations from Gucci, the layered knits and tailoring from Giorgio Armani, suggest an editorial built around the architecture of a garment rather than its label.

Tjin is represented by A Models Amsterdam. The word the magazine itself reaches for is “statuesque,” which is doing real work here: it implies a stillness and a scale that earns the kind of tailoring Neophitou has assembled. Hair was by Hiroshi Matsushita using Oribe Hair Care; make-up by Andrew Gallimore using M.A.C Cosmetics. The production was handled by Zac Apostolou, with casting by Arianna Pradarelli and photographic assistance from Nicoletta Kavvadia. Fashion assistant Georgia Edwards completes the team.
What holds the shoot together is the location. Villa Meraki on Zakynthos offers the kind of backdrop that removes a shoot from the familiar vocabulary of studio white or urban concrete, placing the clothes instead against a landscape with its own visual history. Tailoring photographed in strong Mediterranean light reads differently: the fabric’s hand becomes more apparent, the drape more considered, the contrast between a pale linen and a dark wool more charged.
Issue 77 of 10 Magazine hits newsstands on 18 September, with pre-orders available now. For a magazine that has chosen Future, Legacy, Heritage as its organising principle, closing on a Bottega Veneta cover feels deliberate. The house has spent the better part of the last several years becoming shorthand for a certain kind of understated confidence in luxury, and as a final image in a sequence about what endures, it is a considered choice.
