Stylist Names Autumn Winter 2026 Trends: Fawn Fever, Frou-Frou and Slogan Tees

Stylist has set out its autumn winter 2026 trends forecast, identifying 33 directions it expects to define the season, with frou-frou dressing, a colour phenomenon it has dubbed ‘fawn fever’, and the return of the slogan T-shirt among those named in the headline billing.

The forecast, published by Stylist’s editorial team, spans a broad sweep of the season’s expected directions. Thirty-three trends is a significant number to hold at once, and the three singled out for top-line attention tell their own story about where the season’s energy appears to be gathering: volume and embellishment on one end, a quiet, warm-toned palette in the middle, and a strain of directness in print on the other.

What the Autumn Winter 2026 Trends Signal

Frou-frou dressing, as a category, has been cycling through the conversation for several seasons now, with ruffles, tulle, and layers of fabric that move as the wearer does appearing with some persistence on both runways and the high street. That Stylist places it at the top of its autumn winter 2026 trends list suggests the editors see the momentum continuing rather than cresting.

‘Fawn fever’ is Stylist’s own framing for what reads as a colour story: the warm, pale neutrals adjacent to camel and oatmeal that have been a consistent presence in considered wardrobes for some time. Naming it as a trend for AW2026 signals the magazine expects the palette to deepen and sharpen its identity through the colder months.

The slogan T-shirt, meanwhile, occupies its perennial position somewhere between fashion and statement-making. Its appearance on this list is less a surprise than a confirmation that the category continues to find new iterations each season.

Reading the Full Forecast Through Stylist’s Subscription

The full autumn winter 2026 trends feature, covering all 33 directions identified by Stylist’s editors, sits behind the publication’s MyStylist subscription. Access starts at £2.99 a month, or £4.17 a month if combined with a Stylist print magazine subscription, according to Stylist’s subscription information. The pricing positions MyStylist as an entry-level proposition for readers who want the editorial depth without the full cost of a print subscription, or as a combined package for those who prefer both formats.

For anyone mapping out a wardrobe for the season ahead, the three trends Stylist has chosen to headline its forecast offer a reasonable starting point: softness and occasion-dressing in the frou-frou direction, a grounded warmth in the fawn palette, and the more direct pleasure of a well-chosen slogan. The remaining thirty, for now, are reserved for subscribers.

She started as a features assistant at a women's lifestyle title, worked her way up to commissioning editor, and left when the print side got thin enough that she could see the spreadsheet through the pages. She writes about interiors, food, travel, and the small domestic decisions that nobody admits take three hours of research. She has opinions about paint colours, sourdough, and the correct weight of a linen napkin, and is aware this makes her sound like a specific kind of person. Nell lives in the Cotswolds with her husband and a cat who has no interest in soft furnishings. She reads cookbooks in bed and considers this a personality.
